I literally don't know from where to start talking about this beautiful Greek island. It was the first time I visited it. It was love at first sight! From the very minute I got there with my girlfriends, I was amazed by the buildings, the roads and that every detail was traditional and timeless at the same time.
We headed to our Airbnb house, Vaporia Sea View and it had literally the "Sea View" (ph.1 below)! It worth all the 100 stairs every time. The next minute, we went down to the beach, to Ciel Beach Bar, a really nice place to relax, with nice food and cocktails ;). And though there is no sand, only some ramps which lead you to the sea, this place and the view is amazing.
Friday night, after drinking our coffee and having a quick shower, we headed downtown, to Ermoupolis, at the center of the island. Few steps further from our house, I found my special spot (a door to the sea, ph. 3).
Another exciting place with sand and all was the Agathopes Beach we went next morning, to ONO concept bar. When arriving back to Ermoupolis, we couldn't help but visit its emblematic town hall (ph. 3 below), which houses the courts of Cyclades too.
At Saturday night we went up to Ano Syros, the higher place of the island. There you'll find small souvenir shops, beautiful alleys and nice restaurants. Don't forget to make a reservation at Lili's restaurant, though seriously windy sometimes, you'll enjoy a perfect dinner with an even more perfect view of the island.
On Sunday afternoon, I decided to stroll around the alleys with my camera, waiting for my girls to get ready for the dinner. Then I visited the Theater of Syros, a very special place, where I watched a group's rehearsal and found out about the history of the island; Syros, was the center of the modern civilization for the complex of Cyclades islands, where the arts, the architecture, the trade, the gambling and other forms of entertainment started to develop.
