We were very excited heading to London city as our first trip abroad as a couple.. back in 2016!
Why? Because London is pure magic! When we first got at out hotel I was so amazed by the neighborhoods and the buildings in the Kensington area. We actually stayed in Holiday Inn London – Kensington High St., a very nice and big 4-star hotel.
The first thing we HAD to do is to taste the English Breakfast at a beautiful coffee shop around the corner of our hotel!
After finishing our tasty breakfast, we headed to High Street Kensington station to take the underground to reach the downtown area. No comments about the buildings please..
And here we are! At the famous Buckingham Palace.
Just took some time to take some photos as weather was weirdly sunny that day!
London Bridge, London Eye and the Parliament (Palace of Westminster): an image that combines old and modern history of London and UK.
However, we left the best place (well, for me at least!) for the end of the day: Harrods! Can't even describe how beautiful this building is with all the lights.. and the stores inside, the brands, the luxury, everything! Well, I actually went for shopping at Topshop and Primark stores nearby.
The next day, we decided to visit the British museum (again, what about this area?!)
Well, we spent some time there as this museum is really complex with many elements from several civilizations and historic periods categorized (Yes, Elgin marbles are there too.)
Arriving back to our hotel, we took advantage of the daylight to take some really nice photos!
The day after, we decided to go to the National History Museum of London. There was a big line of people outside waiting and that's because museums usually have free entrance. But the inside area was spectacular, while a huge dinosaur skeleton's covering the first floor.
Then we treated ourselves good when having dinner at Sushi Samba, which is a restaurant located in one of largest London's skyscrapers. The view from the 38th floor was amazing.
Last day, we decided to go to the National Gallery of London.
At the end of the day, we took some time off to relax at our hotel's spa area. So good!
Dear London, I miss you so much! Hoping to visit again soon! The end.
